Memorial Tree in Prospect Park
A cherry tree was planted under Guler's name on April 21st, 2015 at Prospect Park, one of her favorite places in the city and where she trained for the five marathons she ran during her time in NYC. Here you can find a map & photos of the planting ceremony (it's right next to the carousel since she adored children, their laughter will always surround her tree).
There is an annual picnic held at the tree every Summer or Autumn for friends (and passers-by!) and the next one will be publicized on Facebook, or email aileenmileen@gmail.com to be notified of this year's date..
